Cob in Cornwall is based in Manaccan, on the Lizard Peninsula of Cornwall. It is a small company specialising in the new build and restoration of earthen structures, known as ‘cob’ in the South-west of England. We approach all of our projects with an ecological ethos. We are actively involved in the restoration of ancient cob buildings and the construction of new buildings using a variety of earth building techniques and we work with lime and clay finishes on a daily basis.

Adam Weismann
Born and raised in the U.S.A, Adam graduated from Long Island University with a degree in documentary film-making. He learnt the art of building with cob during an apprenticeship with Cob Cottage Company in Oregon, U.S.A. His inspirations for building with earth come from living and gardening in Japan, designing and building water gardens and constructing neighbourhood skateboard ramps in his back garden!

Katy Bryce
Born and raised in the U.K, Katy graduated from Newcastle University with an Honours degree in Human Geography. She also learned the art of building with cob during an apprenticeship with Cob Cottage Company in Oregon. Her inspirations for building with earth come from a lifelong love of gardening and getting her hands dirty, and from the fact that cob is at once solid and enduring, yet also outstandingly flexible and forgiving.
